The teacher of the D.A.R.E. programs this year and future years are Deputy Dewayne Childers Deputy Robert Newman and Deputy Jeff Burbanks. This program is to teach the dangers of drugs, drug use/abuse, violence involved with drug abuse and what a drug may look like, and how to report a drug related incident. This also shows the effect of drugs in many lives with visual images, such as before and after pictures of long term drug abusers and the probable arrest history of someone addicted to drugs. This is an excellent program that tries to educate our youth in the hopes that they will make the choice to say “NO” to drugs when the incident/opportunity arises. This program is designed to start at an early age to show the dangers of drug use. There is an epidemic in our area that we are working hard on each day to remove but starting with the youth of Morgan County is a great deterrent for many as they turn in to young adults
